Forms Cutter
Designed to boost the productivity of the Printek FormsPro 4000 Series printers, our optional Forms Cutter automatically cuts the printed form whenever you switch between tractors. And because operator intervention is not required to cut the form, the printer can be operated at a remote location.

Operating Modes: Auto cut on/off. Auto "on" cuts each page as bottom of form is reached.
Auto "off" cuts form only when switching between tractors. Paper Specifications: Will accept forms that are 5" minimum to 14" maximum in length; forms that are 0.025" maximum thickness (up to a nine part form), and forms that are 2" to 16" width, and have a 15 lb. Minimum weight for single-part paper. |
Paper Handling: Adjustable width basket with a 1.8" stacking capacity (approximately 80 forms) can be bypassed to reach the printer stand basket.
Cut Specifications: Angularity and repeatability of cut is plus or minus .04". Blade life is 200,000 cuts on six-part forms. Blades are factory replaceable.

Multiple interface options. Printek
offers an optional interface which allows for IBM Twinax/Coax attachment, plus serial
RS232 and Centronics parallel ports – all in one printer. Automatic switching. The interface allows you to switch automatically between the parallel port and the Twinax/Coax ports, thereby allowing the printer to be attached both locally to a personal computer and remotely to a mainframe or minicomputer. Emulations: Twinax - IBM 4214, 5225 and 5256 printers. Coax - IBM 3287 and 3262 printers. Port Switching. Interface will automatically switch to receive data from either the Twinax/Coax port or the parallel port after a specified time-out. Time-out is definable between 15-60 seconds. Cables Supplied. Twinax - "Smart T"; Coax - BNC type. Interface automatically configures itself for Twinax or Coax depending on which cable is connected. |
